Question 7) what have we learnt in the progression from the preliminary to the final product?
2.25 : 4.24
From our prelim exercise to our finished thriller i really feel we have improved immensely. in our prelim we were still really learning the ropes of the camera work and still learning about the shots hance why some of the shots are blurry and not exactly correct. in our actual thriller film we stopped to consider the aspects a lot more to perfect shots and sequences. a lot of time was put into certain scenes where we had to film two or more times however we knew we needed to do this to improve on the technical aspects from the preliminery exercise.
i think in the journey fro mthe preliminary to the actual result i have gained a lot of skills. firstly in how to use the camera and use the different shots to effect such as close ups, extreme closeups etc. another skill i feel ive learnt is directing, during filming sessions I often arranged characters and props around to suit the scene as well as inputting key ideas.

Question 5) How did we attract our audience?
Our thriller really hold,s theb audiences attention by switching shots and making the outcome unpredicatbel it keeps the audience on the edge of their seats wanting to watch on and find out what happens at the end.
It has a mixture of aspects to it from romance to murder so it can appeal to both genders.
The audience would want to watch on after the initial 2 minute opener becasue they would want to know why the murders occured and the story of the characters before. Also in the way the film ends with a cliffhanger makes the audience watch in wonder about what hapens after the messgage is sent.

Question 4)Who would be the audience for our media product?
Before creating our thriller we carried out. four pieces of market research between our group. we used survey monkey surveys and posted them on a Facebook pages for or peers to carry out.
i know the target group for our thriller film sent because all of the people that filled out my survey were between 16 - 21 so we aim to please this part of the market.
the reason they would watch our film is because it is fast paced editing to create adrenaline and take their breath away. generally the people of this age group are searching for a piece of media that actually does this.
we had already identified our target market as we knew that people of our age would enjoy however reults from our surveys proved conclusive. Below is a wordle our group created to show out target market :

People would watch our film as it is based around modern day technology to attract the modern day people. it represents how the people who are watching live and represents there activities however with a murderous twist to make it interesting.

Question 3) what kind of media institution might distribute our media project?
our thriller film sent could be distributed by a real film production company such as film four, working title and metrodome. these are UK examples
US examples.
the forms that our film could be viewed in would be :

Cinema (digital)
internet
DVD
Television
Viral marketing.
the reason for using these methods would be that these are all popular forms of entertainment and popular comanies. our target market genreally use all of the forms of technology above so this would be a great place to show our thriller.
some real life examples of films similar to ours are: ''i know what you did last summer''
and a film that uses social networking sites and computers. is ''the social network''
